New Year Wish to impact EDUCATION in India…

       A Huge subject to deal with, BUT I, dare to write and pen down my desires and wishes so as to impact masses in the area where I spent my time from 1976 to 2017 my last 40+years. I am 51 now and have spent my last almost five years as a Vice Chancellor. This article is to raise your eyebrows on everything known to all of us, but still the plight is not given the priority it deserves even after understanding that THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT OF OUR DEVELOPMENT.

      What decides the Education pattern and level of Education of an Indian?:

Some factors are: Educational Institutes (primary schools to Universities), Parent’s Education, Gender biases, Regional imbalances, Financial health of individuals, Initially set individual goals, Awareness levels, Type of teachers, Intrinsic intellect & IQ/EQ/SQ, Risk taking capacity, Psychological bends, Personality, Physical health, Food habits, Spiritual upbringing, Social strata, Luck, Governmental support, Coaching shops, Non systematic survival prioritised life pattern, Less researched pedagogy and understanding of actual need and delivery, Non-Implementation of existing researches & Best Practices, Historical attachments, Regional & Religious sentiments, Large population, Dependence on Govt. Subsidies, Reservation policies, Non-universalisation and Non-standardisation, Need based approaches, Non-dissimination of knowledge and technological advancements,  Non-commited service norms, Non-availability of incentives for success & Excellence, Encouragement to Education per say, Mediocrity,  Acceptance of  everything around good or bad, Dominance of the haves over others, Neglect of real down trodden, Non-Removal of hinderances in education, Finding business in everything, Non-open Education Environment & Eco-system, Non-understanding of Real roadblocks and many more…..

            Some questions remain:

  1. How can an Individual solve this plight?
  2. Who can solve and what should be done?
  3. Who are interested in solving and why they can’t?
  4. Who are not bothered and why?
  5. What matters and what all should begin and when and in what manner?
  6. Do we not understand its gravity?
  7. Do we want to remain a developing nation for ever?
  8. Who can take the lead?
  9. Who are responsible?

        I wish to take steps to impact it. Can we dwell on and find the best way, a scientific way……..continued….I have my plans which I wish to share.
