What do we mean by “Best of Luck”?

A very different question came to my mind yesterday while I was watching India-Australia match. I wished India ” the Best of Luck”.  What I essentially meant that it would be nice if all Indian players played their best in the synchronised fashion to do better than the opponent. We all understand that this is a match, a game, a play, an entrainment program for thousands on the TV, a program liked by many for it gives all a sense of being there with every ball. Every ball is new with hidden possibilities and all possibilities for bath ends, which is the key component for each one to remain involved. It is an interplay of nerves, mood, cooperation from the opponent, mental strength to stand on the ground amidst so many and still make THE right hit or catch or fielding or a ball, long toil and training before the match, Govt. support, Play ground preparation, weather, referee, crowd, technology (now), decision, strategy, captain, aim, goal, toss, and what not. OR it is the minimum balance required between all the above so as to score one run more than the opponent. TEAM has many to contribute as individuals apart from other factors mentioned. Only when all different players contribute and synchronise their efforts towards the goal, the team can win. OR sometime only some factors dominate and others simply stand neutral to support. YOUR WIN IS IMPORTANT for the match but your spirit is important for the sports as a whole.

Life is also an interplay of multi-dimensional opportunities and its ups and down with every passing breathe. The Body, Mind and the Soul will have to synchronise to make us successful or win in this life. Life has so many games not just one like the one cricket match mentioned above. It has childhood and its hidden innocence, truthfulness, honesty, discipline, learning skills, spontaneity, exploration, inquisitiveness etc. which is then followed by different stages of life with its own unique characteristics like adolescence, youthfulness, adulthood, matured, performing, guiding and advising stages etc…Every similar game or stage of life requires us to perform and give results.

  • Is that possible without planning or understanding its nuances?
  • Is is possible without practicing on the ground in our strong areas?
  • Do we know our strong area?
  • When does the wish “Best of Luck” work in life?
  • Does it work?

As we will all agree Success or win is an balanced synchronised effort put in the right direction. The luck is when we get to know the strength early or get advised rightly at the right time and one accepts the same with full commitment and devotion. The performance and the synchronisation is assured.

Can we make you the lucky one?  Yes we can.
